Re: Senior NAT Team
Not enough runs. Not enough wickets. Same old story.
Tour Match # 3
VS
Result:
win by 4 wickets
The Match in a tweet: UAE winless after 3 matches and need to turn it around to win the remaining two matches to gain some respect from the tour and hopefully avoid relegation.
Man of the Match: Peter Boucher
Our best:
Kamal Qassem 1/12 off his 4 overs.
The only really shining light in todayβs game. Everyone except Salah got to mid teens with the bat and all bowlers took one wicket each.
Tune in at 0200 tomorrow as we take on Kenya.
Need to find something in the remaining two matches.
Trust in the process

We looked OK for a minute there. Lost 8-35 when we needed to kick on

βOur greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising every time we fallβ
βLife isnβt about waiting for the storm to pass, itβs about to learning how to dance in the rainβ
βPersistence can change failure into extraordinary achievementβ
Have some pretty quotes about failure to focus on the future.
Letβs not focus on the fact that todayβs loss means we will bottom out of this tour regardless of tomorrowβs result.
Letβs all equip a growth mindset and look forward to future successes.
Tour Match # 4
VS
Result:
The Match in a tweet: Oh dear. UAE lose the last 8 wickets for 35 runs to hand Kenya an easy a win. A horror 3 overs saw 5 wickets drop for just 11 runs right when UAE needed to dig in and put up a fight.
Man of the Match:
Daudi Ngwale
Our best:
Aban Haqq - 4/26 off his 4 overs. Including a nice little cluster of two wickets in the 8th over right when Kenya were building nicely at 1/50. Foxed the last with a fully - rate that immensely.
Ismael Saad - a solid 39 from the opener and at 2/60 odd in the 10th over we were looking a real chance.
Then disaster struck!
None the less a pass mark for Saad.
Simply outplayed today. Our bowlers actually took a few clusters of wickets that slowed down Kenyaβs innings a smidge. Unfortunately there was just nothing worth watching with the bat after drinks. Itβs also worth noting that Kenyaβs line up includes LeBron James and Romelu Lukaku.
Tune in at 02.00 tomorrow as we take on Sri Lanka and let us all pray for a win.

Rubbish effort from our batsmen this week. At any sign of pressure, they all fell over.
Tough luck guys - onto the SOD tour now.

Re: Senior NAT Team
HAPPY NEW YEAR! NEW YEAR = NEW UAE
Well that's the first joke of 2021.
NEW YEAR = SAME OLD UAE. Leaked too many runs and stumbled late in the chase.
Tour Match # 5
VS
Result:
win by 10 runs
The Match in a Tweet:
In the words of Clarkey himself "what a load of junk... GARBAGE"
T20 is a farce. It's like giving two toddlers large sticks, letting them smack each other for 3 hours and declaring the one with less bruises the winner. It's a brutes game, a snatch and grab for the entertainment of cricket casuals. A complete disrespect to the nuances and skill of the great game.
The views and opinions expressed in this article are those of the author and do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of the UAE Management
Man of the Match: Ariyasiri David
Our best:
David De Gea - the big keeper was put up the order and did not disappoint. A solid 64 including an opening partnership of 55 with Saad.
Kareef Sameh - 3/48 of his four overs. Economically speaking Sameh was a leaky tap today but 3 scalps made him the pick of the bowlers.
Same old story unfortunately, bowlers leaked too man runs and the batsmen were unable to build from a handy start.
Tour Wrap will follow shortly - just need to bang my head against the wall for a min or two.
Trust in the process

Kamal Qassem @ 4.83 an over from his 3 matches and 12 overs.

Goes without saying that this week didn't go as hoped for. Time to look to the future with a bit of optimism.
Next senior tour is a One Day Div 2 Tour starting on the 11th of January.
However, make sure you tune in for the U20s as they chase success in a Div. 2 T20 Tour next week.
U-20 T20 Div. 2 Fixture is:
4th January 09.00 Vs. Scotland
5th January 09.00 Vs. Bangladesh
6th January 09.00 Vs. Ireland
7th January 09.00 Vs. Sri Lanka
8th January 09.00 Vs. South Africa
Get around the young fellas as they are the future of cricket in our great nation.
Hope you've all enjoyed my ramblings this week. Pity about the quality of cricket.
Tune in as the youth take on the slash and dash lottery.

I thought Haqq was the only guy we could really trust this week. Thanks for the effort Moose, we'll see you next week

Re: Senior NAT Team
Interesting bit of sass from a newer manager who has no affiliation with UAE.
I'd say Moose has done a fantastic job updating our community each day. It wouldn't be fair to point out a minor insignificant error while ignoring everything else.

Re: Senior NAT Team
Good pick up Klauts.
I was initially going to do best bowling average as well as economy. Haqq had the best average and I must have confused myself when I decided to just do the economy rate - best ER was actually Qassem (have updated above).
Guess I am human after all and occasionally make mistakes.
Just glad someone is reading my nonsense to be honest.
