Congratulations to UAE U20's for a decent tour thus far, and I do not believe that you are not getting compensation for these free adverts.

Re: UAE U20 - News & Discussion
A disappointing day to be perfectly honestly but we still have a chance to promote.
Need to win tomorrow and do it well to get the NRR.
Tour Match # 4
VS Zimbabwe
Result:
Zimbabwe win by 7 wickets
The Match in a Tweet: UAE have a perfect chance to almost lock away a promotion and they throw it.
Man of the Match: Everton Dikgacoi (Zimbabwe)
Our best:
Malik Razzaq - 41 (67) 0-13
A gutsy 41 followed by very very economical bowling.
Wazir Najjar - 23* (39) 1-45 1c
Some handy runs at the end of the innings followed up with a wicket and a catch.
Methods of Madness with Moose
If we lose to Kenya tomorrow - it's all over.
If we win - the second spot comes down to NRR.
Tune in at 0430 tomorrow as we take on Kenya.
Trust in the process

Re: UAE U20 - News & Discussion
Welcome back to the blog, this week we explore why people listen to certain bands:
ACDC: Because they are Australian
The Wombats: Because they enjoy being edgy
Skeggs: Because all they do every day is skate board
Smith Street Band: Because they like to sing songs better than the band's vocalist
Camp Cope: Because of Masculine Toxicity
Glass Animals: Because they enjoy acid trips but don't want to actually take acid
Edit* Oh WAIT THIS ISN'T MY BLOG............................ UAE MATCH WRAP COMING RIGHT UP!

Re: UAE U20 - News & Discussion
UAE VS KENYA
Not at all how we wanted the tour to end.........
We stay in Div. 3 after showing some real promise and looking like a legit chance to promote.
Tour Match # 5
VS Kenya
Result:
Kenya U20 won by 25 runs
Kenya U20 won the toss and elected to bat
The Match in a Tweet: PLAY ON DRY. WIN TOSS. BAT FIRST. POST 250 OR THERE ABOUTS. WIN GAME. I AM BORED OF THIS FORMULA WORKING AGAINST US. better luck next tour lads.
Man of the Match: Caymun Fadhili (KENYA)
Our best:
Malik Razzaq - 30 (37) 1-31
Mr $300k is in the thick of the action once again with a fighting knock and 1/31 off his 10 overs. His 3.10 economy the best of any one on either side.
Khayri Saleem - 57 (55)
A very nice half century. Probably needed him to go big if we were going to win this match. A decent 50 none the less.
Yousif Nu'man - 13 (21) 2-50
The other $300k market value member. Two wickets.
Qasim Kareem - 15 (15) 2-62 1c
2 wickets and a catch! Also tried his best to add as many runs as he could batting at the death but he is a bowler after all.
Last tour for all of these lads - so will be looking for the younger lads to step up next tour.
I'm off to finish me blog. SO long, see you next season!

I'm confident in the bunch of players we will have coming through in the next few seasons
I think we've made off field strides this tenure in terms of ensuring our upcoming players are meeting standards and we're getting the most of out the player pool we do have. Hopefully heppa runs again as there's things to be built on and I'm confident there will be a WC appearance in 2 seasons time

Agree with that, its just the next tour we look a bit thin, especially the batting. Some really nice players coming through from the second half of next season on!NPD-PowerBug wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 7:14 amI'm confident in the bunch of players we will have coming through in the next few seasons

I'm keen for another stint with hep if he's up for it, deserves to see a lot of his behind the scenes work keeping on top of training pay off

Re: UAE U20 - News & Discussion
Apologies for the late reply, I've taken a couple of weeks away from the game to recharge.
Thanks lads. We've made some decent progress behind the scenes and I owe a lot of it to a very strong set of assistants. Although disappointing at times, it has been enjoyable and I would be keen to continue taking our U20 lads forward if given the opportunity!

Re: UAE U20 - News & Discussion
Thank you to everyone who voted for me. I'm looking forward to continuing what we have started and hopefully we see further improvement over the next two seasons.
Penky has been looking after the team during my minor absence, so I doubt there will be many changes to the current U20 squad. First tour starts in a months time so there will be a lot of experimentation during the upcoming friendlies.

Re: UAE U20 - News & Discussion
UAE U20 begin their first tour of the season tomorrow. We will be up against the hosts, England. I'm not sure how they ended up down here, but we'll give it our best shot!
Home England U20
Away UAE U20
Ground Lords
League U-20 One Day 3
Date 12 Jul 21 10:00
Pitch Dry
Weather (forecast) Windy
As always, our goal is to promote this week. It won't be easy with the current squad, but the future does look brighter considering the age of our guys.
