Well you can’t check a future summary from the end of the game mid game
It uses the summary that the player goes into the match with minus any loss up to the point of the skill check ( loss due to energy/fatigue loss which would slowly bring down an overall summary as the match went on)
Well that’s my understanding of how the ME code would work, unless it was simplified to just use the summary at the start of the game for all checks regardless of at what point of the game it was, but I doubt that

I think the manual is deliberately vague so you have to work it out for yourself
From the way Ash explained it, fielding was important to keeping as the game uses summaries for everything in the ME

And look at it this way a WC keep with reli field, a excep keep with outstanding field, who is better allowing for all else being the same?
I will give you a hint, the second guy.

With 3 extra levels of fielding and 1 less keeping I'd pick the 2nd guy also.
Would it really take the same time to train from reliable to outstanding in fielding as it does to train keeping from exceptional to WC (with all else the same)?
I don't think that's a fair comparison is it?

@ 21 (depending on academy level) it takes roughly 1 full season to get from reliable fielding to Outstanding
To get a keeper from exceptional to WC would take about 20 weeks (rough estimate as I’ve never had a keeper at exceptional @ 21)
Someone with the predictor would be able to give a better estimate for the keeper

I think you would have to look at an older age than 21 to have both keeping and fielding to that level.
Besides, with all other skills equal you can easily add up and see the difference in ratings the 2 would have.

Hard for me to know as all my players are finished fielding by 22ish, but I still think it would be a bit quicker to get the fielding done compared to the keeping at any age

Question. When on the orders page and using the option "suggest line up", what are reasons why 11 players are not selected, including 1 bowling order not filled? I have 15 players in youth squad.

Any going on tour?

It is because one of the best 11 is promoting on Sunday
We are working on fixing it but it is proving a little tricky at this stage
