Away wolfberries
Ground St Lawrence Ground
League One Day 2.2

Crowd 18,654
Weather Overcast
Pitch Slow
Toss: Snakey's Kent Stars won the toss and elected to bowl.

Can't see us defending that, selected a youngish side today.

End of over 18 (5 runs) - Danger Hotspurs(74-1). 91 runs required from 32 overs. RR 4.11 RRR 2.84
A lot is resting on Ten Dam grabbing a load of wickets in the next few overs if we're going to make this even slightly competitive.

Re: England League and Cup Discussion
My spinner taking 5 wickets was a late change - I had a young fastie in instead but decided he wouldn't be good enough... glad I made the swap... I still think that getting these runs will be tricky...spark wrote: ↑Fri Aug 13, 2021 12:46 pmS. Hodges (rfs) 4-0-21-0, A. Jirongo 30 (38b), H. Hashim 22 (49b)

Danger Hotspurs won by 7 wickets
Danger Hotspurs Ruff Royals
Batting - Top Order 12,848 13,820
Batting - Middle Order 10,971 13,171
Batting - Tail 4,015 5,027
Bowling - Seam 12,156 (40) 12,962 (30)
Bowling - Spin 13,242 (10) 15,021 (20)
Fielding/Keeping 15,227 17,298
Overall 214,870 243,868
Ratings are slightly false due to having 2 allrounders but it just felt like nothing was going to go our way today. The winning run coming off a dropped catch was typical of the day. The worst thing for us is that it looks like Relegation reprobates are almost certainly going to pick up a win against Ffoh which means we could be dragged into a relegation scrap. We may only be 8 points clear of the drop and it'll be a crucial game next week against bottom of the league.
Well done to Dave and Danger Hotspurs.

Fielding/Keeping 16,233 17,313
Overall 241,798 246,850
3rd win of the season and the double over the highest ranked team. Against anyone else we seem to have less backbone than Arsenal away at Stoke.
Been on the wrong end of some big ratings shocks this season and just seen Spark turned-over today which was defo not in our plan.
Certainly not too good to go down, still adrift with games running out.

If theres grass on the Wicket Crestfallen Sidekicks
Batting - Top Order 12,948 13,002

Fielding/Keeping 14,937 15,420
Overall 225,069 222,744
If theres grass on the Wicket won by 20 runs
After spending ages getting back to Division 2, effectively relegated already in my first seaon back. Couldn't bowl out a weak batting lineup on a Overcast/Crumbling was always going to mean that a win was unlikely. Been rating in line with most of the teams in the division, but consistently losing games where the ratings are close.

Match Ratings
Topmen South London's Number One CC

Fielding/Keeping 15,896 16,678
Overall 231,765 240,339
pretty dismal performance today, losing by by 161 runs. Pretty misleading ratings though, as Topmen had two international stars playing who both stood out, one with a magnificent century and the other with a 5-fer. Big game against Danger Hotspurs next week, win and we're pretty much safe, lose and we're suddenly in a thick of an intriguing relegation battle.
