S. Doran (rfm) 8-1-48-2, J. Westerveld 3 (2b), M. Schmidt 107 (108b)
End of over 40 (9 runs) - Ruff Royals(217-5) RR 5.42

Decent effort on a slow pitch. A fantastic century by Schmidt; I think I might have found a permanent position in the batting line-up for him at three.

B. Gardiner (rws) 2-0-9-0, B. Goodman 12 (10b), E. Lampe 32 (33b)
End of over 11 (4 runs) - Snakey's Kent Stars(59-1). 159 runs required from 29 overs. RR 5.36 RRR 5.48

I need my bowlers to do better; it's looking like a fairly comfortable chase for them at the moment.

Decent start but not guaranteed a win just yet.

Overall 136,909 125,831

Snakey's Kent Stars won by 4 wickets

A disappointing performance from the bowlers. I think 217 was a decent total on a slow pitch especially in cloudy conditions. Westerveld was particularly poor.

put in to bat on Uneven/Sunny we've had a fantastic innings, reaching 316/4 in our 50 overs. The two openers had somewhat contrasting fortunes, one out for a first ball duck, the other hitting an unbeaten 155

always find uneven quite an unpredictable pitch in terms of assessing a good score, but surely we have enough here!

Well this pitch isn't playing very unevenly lol, seems more like a flat: End of over 18 (5 runs) - Camberwell Carrots(103-1). 214 runs required from 32 overs. RR 5.72 RRR 6.69

still in a decent position, but a concerningly good start for our opps!

P. Callaway (rfs) 10-0-73-2, J. Marcy 2 (6b), T. Davis 9 (13b)
End of over 50 (4 runs) - Inchigeela Angels(316-7) RR 6.32

Huge game on this flat pitch as it's first versus second place. We lost the toss and they decided to bat which I was expecting. I don't think that's terrible bowling and it's a chaseable total. Moses was our best bowler with 3-55.

R. Creevey (lfs) 9-0-42-1, L. Avila 1 (4b), B. Issa 27 (29b)
End of over 27 (4 runs) - Ruff Royals(136-3). 181 runs required from 23 overs. RR 5.04 RRR 7.87

It is proving a tough chase though with not much batting to come and that RRR beginning to get out of control.

C. Baijnauth (rfs) 6-0-33-1, C. Paton 4 (4b), L. Avila 13 (20b)
End of over 32 (5 runs) - Ruff Royals(163-4). 154 runs required from 18 overs. RR 5.09 RRR 8.56

We would have gone 8 points clear if we had won this but we're going to need a miracle now. This is the last 2 batters with only an allrounder to come and then it's just bowlers with less than average batting skill.

Camberwell Carrots v South London's Number One CC >> Match Ratings
Match Ratings
Camberwell Carrots South London's Number One CC
Batting - Top Order 13,023 13,843
Batting - Middle Order 8,954 12,550

Bowling - Seam 12,792 (40) 13,745 (30)
Bowling - Spin 12,801 (10) 13,677 (20)
Fielding/Keeping 14,791 16,767
Overall 210,821 243,028

solid and important win today, 92 runs the margin in the end. Super tight and competitive league this season, think Camberwell might well struggle, just compared to all other sides they are a fair bit weaker, but other than that from 1-7 it's so difficult to call.

Inchigeela Angels won by 12 runs

Inchigeela Angels Ruff Royals
Batting - Top Order 14,265 14,042
Batting - Middle Order 11,875 11,100

Bowling - Spin 14,489 (20) 13,864 (30)
Fielding/Keeping 16,680 16,898
Overall 243,098 233,313

It was reasonably close but I think I made a mistake in not playing an extra allrounder. We gave ourselves a little too much to do at the end. Their allrounder getting 88 from 69 balls didn't help either.
