well this was an unexpected bonus .... won by 6 wickets

can't remember a better performance than that, Kept them down to 178 on flat, all bowlers picking up at least one wicket, then never looked in trouble during the chase. A very welcome bonus in a game I fully expected to lose, and a real boost in our battle for survival.

Danger Hotspurs won by 3 wickets

A decent enough effort by the bowlers although I was disappointed with Ten Dam, who is my most senior bowler. It was the batting that killed our chances though; 180 is nowhere near enough on a hard pitch.

Only 8 points clear of the relegation zone now and with the top team to face next week who will surely be eager to make certain it's not 2 losses in a row.
