Edit on January 22, 2022: The Pavilion Shield contest has reached the cup finals as current victors Chudley Cannons take on Ffoh on the 29th on January in the grand finals of the Matt Krevs Memorial Cup.

Chudley Cannons have won the Pavilion Shield and retained the cup in a mammoth achievement. This also implies that the shield shall finish Season 53 in Sri Lanka and Chudley Cannons have two more games to go to keep the shield with themselves until the End-of-Season as edited in the above quoted post. The Pavilion Shield's a trophy that you can win when you beat the current holder of the Pavilion Shield in a cup game or in a SOD game at the current holder's ground, starting with the first MKMC winner as the first holder when muff and dz started it. You beat Mighty Mashervania in the cup to win it and haven't lost a home SOD game or a cup game since, you have one more game against Newland Hope to end as the holder at the end of this season, and take the shield into the new season where you will be again challenged in all cup games and all home SOD games.

If I understand the rules correctly... you can hold onto it forever!

Just do some cheating, get banned, and nobody will ever be able to beat you, thus immortalising Chudley Cannons as the permanent holder of the Pavilion Shield

i mean then the side becomes a bot and he takes the shield into div 4 and loses it to somebody there. i know its unlikely but it won't end even after that.

But it's nice to know every eventuality is prepared for

Maybe a safer way to keep it forever is to keep transferring countries so you're in the bottom division, and intentionally lose the first away cup game you play each season

The Pavilion Shield concept was based off the Ranfurly Shield. So here is an image of the Ranfurly Shield
