Ruff Royals Sledgingshire
Batting - Top Order 13,650 13,987
Batting - Middle Order 11,861 11,729
Batting - Tail 4,253 5,904
Bowling - Seam 13,745 (8) 13,499 (12)
Bowling - Spin 14,451 (12) 13,233 (8)
Fielding/Keeping 16,926 16,238
Overall 236,429 236,255
Sledgingshire won by 4 wickets
We only scored 118 on a slow pitch with Mills getting 48. Generally, we bowled quite well and when we got them to 6-72 I thought we had a chance. Sadly, they didn't lose another wicket and won with almost 2 overs to spare. Very much in a relegation battle now; a win today could have eased my concerns a fair bit.

End of over 40 (4 runs) - wolfberries(153-7) RR 3.83
An OK total for the conditions, 50/50 I would say. All depends on how our two quicks and the new ball specialist does.

Top of the table clash against Oxhey Players. They've scored a lot of runs 267-6. It's a flat pitch so it's not impossible to chase this but I'd make them favourites, especially after our start.

End of over 1 (1 run) - Ruff Royals(1-1). 267 runs required from 39 overs. RR 1.00 RRR 6.85

We're not coming back from this. We're making this seem like we're batting on a sticky pitch.

Our middle order just didn't perform well enough after our top order set them up, then our bowling just didn't put enough pressure on the opposition batsmen. We are still top but just by NRR now.

I'm not completely sure whether to blame my bowlers or my batsmen so I think it's fair that I blame both! With that win they go above us on NRR. I guess I'm not too unhappy though as I've got a bit of a weird youth team at the moment.

tough game today against a strong Egham side, won the toss and having a bat on sticky/cloudy. 84/3 at drinks, need to try and get to at least 150 to post a competitive total.

200/7 in our 50, really happy with that. Probably a 50:50 score with the opps batting strength, but would've taken it for sure in bowler friendly conditions.

fortunate that opps weren't at full strength due to their impressive cup run, but still a very good win for us that gets us one step closer to our aim of survival. Think it's very possible a team will go down on a 6/8 record this season, so looking for another couple of wins from our remaining games to make sure. Whitworth the standout player today with a great knock of 60 in the middle order making a huge difference. Back to back losses for Egham suddenly make the title race more interesting, but I can't see us being in that conversation come the end of the season.
Big game against Relegation Reprobates next, our third home game in a row!

Close, but losing six wickets for ten runs didn't help. Yet, a win is a win.

Never keen on flat wickets but not too bad in T20, we have lost our best bowler and quick to the seniors so may struggle at little, but at least the weather conditions suit his replacement.
