League One Day 1.1
Date 08 Sep 23 10:00
Crowd 20,016
Weather Hot
Pitch Slow
I've left my best medium pacer out to give another player experience. Once again the ratings will be interesting as it's not going to be too far away from what I'll rate next season.
M. Patterson (rfs) 3-0-4-0, D. Van den Bergh 58 (69b), J. Puncheon 19 (35b)
End of over 20 (1 run) - South London's Number One CC(91-1) RR 4.55
It's not going great so far. We're struggling to take wickets and have only just dragged the run rate down to being respectable (but not particularly good).

It's not looking good. We can't get Van den Bergh out and now Zaha keeps hitting 6 for his BH trigger. We going to need them to collapse and then we'll need to show some excellent batting.

Providing you don't drop too much in ratings you should be competitive. You could rate higher than I will although I am expecting to be involved in a relegation battle.wolfberries wrote: ↑Tue Sep 05, 2023 8:23 pmwolfberries Snakey's Kent Stars

Well, that ensured promotion to division one!

That was a bit of a rollercoaster. Most of the time it felt like we were plummeting to our doom but when we were 261-5 with only 17 needed from 5.1 overs we were on top of the world. But we exited the rollercoaster after only 13 runs scored for 5 wickets lost so this particular rollercoaster is not one we're going to recommend.
On the plus side, Mills scored 123 although I think of his 4 senior centuries at least the last 2 have been in losing causes.

ridiculous game mate, thought even with our shite bowling we'd be able to defend 277 on hot/slow quite easily ... needed a minor miracle in the end to get the win
relegation all but mathematically confirmed, not unexpected in the slightest!

We only need a big miracle to take the title today. We need Trevor Francis Tracksuit to lose and us to win whilst making up a net run rate deficit of about 1. So I'm just trying to give as much experience as possible to certain players who need it.
We were put in to bat first.

We are going to lose one or two players due to age, if they can hold off plopping long enough we may have chance of avoiding relegation.

Not exactly promising signs for next season. I didn't realise that Topmen were rating so highly either.
We finish 3rd which I'm very happy to do as I was fully expecting a relegation battle.
It's looking like 500k+ in prizemoney which means I seem to be making a profit even with a deluxe academy. I'd expect that to turn in to losses if I was relegated into division 2 in the senior leagues (I'm pretty sure I'll find out exactly how much I'll lose by the end of season 57)!

TFT win Division 1, honestly didn’t think that would be the case at the start of the season being 6th in the ratings.
Have a glimmer to do the double, but will need to win and hope Inchigeela Angels lose.
Will need to add to the squad during the break given more players are getting into Nat squads and i do lack depth, especially batting.
