Q. Fattah (rfs) 8-0-30-2, F. Jarvis 10 (6b), G. Jeffries 64 (73b)
End of over 40 (8 runs) - Relegation reprobates(216-6) RR 5.40
We struggled to take wickets especially in the second half of their innings. That's not going to be an easy total to chase on a slow pitch.
N. Solomon (rf) 8-0-40-0, H. Mitchell 49 (65b), J. Harrison 65 (83b)
End of over 24 (5 runs) - Ruff Royals(124-0). 93 runs required from 16 overs. RR 5.17 RRR 5.81
We're doing okay but that run rate required keeps going up. Harrison has been very lucky so far; he's only been dropped 5 times!

Very close game. We needed 12 from the last over. There were 4 runs and a run out in the first 4 balls. Then a misfield 4. Then another 4 to win the match. Looks like my fielding really made a difference.

We went from 159-5 to 171 all out. It would have been nice to get at least a bit closer than that. 56 for Mills was the highlight of our batting closely followed by Clarke's 41.

Overall 131,062 131,583
It was a slow pitch and we batted really slowly. We didn't seem to take many risks with the bat to get us to a good enough total. We ended up with just 117 and we probably needed to get 140ish or at least 130.
With so little run rate pressure they batted with ease and comfortably got over the winning line.

lost the toss and had a bat on overcast/sticky. Batted decently to get 129/5 in our 20, no-one scoring particularly well, but most of them making decent contributions. In reply Franca ripped apart the opps top order with 4 wickets in his first 2 overs, to leave them 12/5 at one stage. In fairness they did pretty well to make a game of it from there, but fell 22 runs short on 107/9. A decent win, and an excellent performance from our NBB quick that really turned the match in our favour.

meh haven't done any in depth analysis, but a quick glance at your game shows that your opponent has basically one gun bat (NAT in div 3 is pretty rare), and he happened to fire today - it can happen. Frustrating I know, but one player hitting 80 on uneven/overcast is very likely to impact the result of the game even if there is an overall ratings advantage to the other side.casperj wrote: ↑Tue Oct 10, 2023 12:02 pmCrestfallen Sidekicks Run Machinecasperj wrote: ↑Tue Oct 03, 2023 12:40 pmCavendish Zeros Crestfallen Sidekickscasperj wrote: ↑Tue Sep 26, 2023 3:41 pmNew season, same old sh*t

Re: England League and Cup Discussion
Thing is, it's happening every week in senior T20 - 3 weeks in a row now with this team, and there was another T20 match at the end of last season where I rated 30k higher and got beat. I get the odd 'surprise' result, but not when it happens this frequently (and always in the same direction)! Feels like tactics and team strength mean very little to T20 match results.eagles123 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 10, 2023 12:11 pm
