won the toss on windy/sticky and opted to bat first. Looked in real trouble at 68/5, but a great knock of 69 from Julian, ably supported by Kouyate with 30, saw us to a respectable 187/10 in our 50. In reply opps looked to be crusing towards the target at 96/2 from just 21 overs, but from there the wickets started tumbling on a regular basis, and we emerged with a 25 run win.

A pleasing start to the season with 3 wins from 3, but our top order bats have to step up at some point, the middle order aren't going to be able to bail us out every week!!

Another tough game next week against Wolfberries who suffered a somewhat surprising loss today.

Indian Avengers won by 2 runs

The underperformance has now spread to the one-day matches. Windy / Dry pitch, but got beaten by a team that rates 36k less and only has one spinner. Forgot to set order to bat first on winning the toss, but other than that at bit of a loss as to how to stop this rot.

My first try on an even pitch and it seemed quite batting friendly. I've already switched my pitch choice to something else as I think it might suit us more. Durham was excellent with 76 not out from 43 balls as we reached 188. Pithey was the best of our bowlers with 2-14.

A decent effort but they won by 3 wickets thanks to a 2 off the last ball.

House did great with 58 from 51 balls but no-one else really stayed with him. Westerveld let us down with his bowling going at 8 an over and picking up no wickets. I was going to write that we need an improvement from him if we're going to survive but I actually think we'll need teams above us to be docked lots of points if we're going to survive!
