Batting - Top Order 7,319 7,352

Fielding/Keeping 7,801 9,311
Overall 117,235 133,125

Ruff Royals won by 6 wickets

I wasn't massively impressed by our bowling but we batted well. I moved Marwat up the order and he rewarded me with 56 from 27 balls, Mitchell top scored for us with 58, and Bennett was just short of his half century with 49 not out from just 23 balls.

Only 4 points off top spot now but we're third and with a worse net run rate then the two teams above us.

With them rating at 250k even with something like 4 players away on international duty, it was always likely to be a case of damage limitation especially as I decided to take the time to rest 2 or 3 of my side.

I don't think we really did limit the damage. It wasn't looking too bad for the first 14 overs but then they increased the scoring rate and 164 was always likely to be too much for us to chase on a slow pitch.

We're now 8 points from safety and the chance of survival is looking rather grim.

Out of the relegation area on NRR. Starting to look like I might be OK this season if I can avoid any more ratings reversals.

won the toss and had a bowl on Hot/Dry. Opps got a decent 155/3 in their 20 overs which i thought would be too much ... but in response Whitworth got us off to a great start with 64 (38) and Schlupp got a pleasing 52 (38) ... bit of a middle order collapse as per usual, but we managed to get over the line with 1 ball remaining. Good performance after the horror show on Friday!

D. Aguirre (lfm) 8-0-68-0, J. Harrison 119 (81b), J. Marwat 17 (10b)
End of over 40 (14 runs) - Ruff Royals(286-5) RR 7.15

It was a tough start on a green pitch (78-4) but once Bennett and Harrison got together the game changed completely. Their 150+ partnership finally ended when Bennett was out for 75 but Harrison continued and finished 119 not out from 81 balls.

J. Harrison (rfm) 3-1-23-0, D. Colon 19 (13b), L. Mccann 19 (24b)
End of over 6 (15 runs) - The Dross(42-0). 245 runs required from 34 overs. RR 7.00 RRR 7.21

Not a great start by the bowlers but the run rate required is still high.

I'm very happy with the ratings considering we won't lose anymore youths to the seniors although we will lose one or two to international weeks.

A big win and impressive performances from Harrison and Bennett. Harrison scored 119 not out and picked up 3-53 whilst Bennett got 75 and took 3-30.

Not enough on a slow pitch but it could have been worse if it wasn't for a captains innings of 77 from Whitehead. Something to bowl out, I guess, but with Inchigeela Angels' quality I can't see us defending it.

won the toss and chose to bat on hot/sticky. A huge partnership between Zaha (finally showing his WC ability) and Julian of 144 has massively helped us to a very strong total of 235/7 in our 50. Very happy with that!

End of over 29 (5 runs) - Inchigeela Angels(123-6). 50 runs required from 21 overs. RR 4.24 RRR 2.38

We've made it interesting but the lack of run rate pressure is probably going to end any slim chance we might have given ourselves.

That was unexpected but most welcome. Whitehead's 77 was key to a defendable total but everyone bowled quite well. Schneider's 4-43 was very handy. It's currently looking like 3 teams will be on 8 points by the end of the day.

Looked doomed when they reached 101-2, but 8 wickets in 17 balls meant we won relatively easily in the end! Not seen a collapse like that by a non-bot/farm team - hopefully the change to the ME coming up will stop these unrealistic collapses.
