From the brink of defeat, we sneak out with a 4-3 win. Commiserations to Rawlpindi, very close fixtures on both meetings.

I messed up with the rating. Rested my best bat and 7th bowler from last week and played my 6th best bowler and 4th best bat.Hoping I won't overrate.

After 6 weeks of tough and competitive matches along with 2 absolutely thrilling semi-finals, we are here now with the final week of the competition, the grand final of the PSL.

First up we have the Emirati Oryxes, the form team of this edition as they won the most games in the group stage, winning 23 out of 35 matches and finishing top of the table. They were up against the Rawalpindi Rapids in the semi-final, a franchise they had lost 3-4 to in the group stage, but this time the Oryxes were able to rectify that in a thrilling match-up and won 4-3, courtesy of some incredible fightbacks from the likes of their skipper MrMoose and penky.

Next we have the Peshawar Zalmi, a franchise that barely made it through to the semi-final by a narrow margin, but performed when it was the crunch time to take their revenge against the Multan Sultans and make it to another final. The Zalmis were already under pressure due to having significantly weaker sides in Youths 1 and 2 so the pressure was on the other teams to deliver, which they all did really well as they were also able to take their revenge against the Sultans for their 3-4 group stage loss, so this fixture also went 4-3 in favor of Zalmi.

The group stage fixture between the two finalists ended 5-2 in favor of the Oryxes, so it will be interesting to see if we have another case of revenge taken like we witnessed in the semi-finals, or will the Oryxes continue their fine overall form and secure their first ever PSL title.

This is a first PSL final for the Emiratis, while Peshawar has made it to 4 finals now and only managed to win their first one, which was under the captaincy of Cynic. MrMoose on the other hand has experienced PSL success recently, leading Islamabad United to their first ever PSL title last edition, and he will be hoping to inspire his new franchise, which is representing his nation, to do the same.

Against all odds Peshawar Zalmi pulls off a thrilling 4-3 win the final against the in-form Emirati Oryxes.

Peshawar did not have a good group stage and barely qualified for the knockouts by the skin of their teeth, but peaked at exactly the right time and overcame both the top 2 sides of the group stage, first Multan Sultans in the semis and then the Emirati Oryxes in the final to cap off a dramatic turnaround for them in the tournament.

Commiserations to the Emirati Oryxes on a fine campaign which saw them finish the group stage in first place and thanks to everyone that has participated this season.

A huge thanks to all the captains that stepped up to lead franchises and a massive thanks to WhiteShadow and TDC for assisting with the running of the PSL.

As we announced before, the PSL will take a break for next season before resuming the season after, as we have now decided to run it every alternate season so that people have a chance to take a break and maybe join some other competitions.
