Re: What Should Be The Economy Rate For Non-Bowlers
currently the game checks the bowler v the wk
If the wk is worse then you will see byes etc
If the wk is better than in theory the game decides he can stop most deliveries

Re: What Should Be The Economy Rate For Non-Bowlers
Rolling the wrist over the shoulder to deliver a ball may seem overly simple in the nets but in a game on the oval it can become a form of art (similar can be said of batting). The run up to deliver the ball without overstepping the crease, the flight, line and length with the right speed, getting swing or spin are all things that can be refined as the bowler improves. It does actually take a bit of training to bowl legal deliveries consistently against better batsmen.

Thats fine for byes although I would of expected a few deliveries to be bad enough to cause the keeper some strain. What about wides and no balls? surely that's not on the keeper? Is that a bowler vs batsman?GM-crowfan65 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 06, 2024 1:33 pmcurrently the game checks the bowler v the wk

Surely the bowlers technique and experience should have some effect on wides.

Played a friendly on in Even and Sunny conditions between my two teams and the results are as expected, I've organised another couple of friendlies next week and I'll be doing something similar. Munday is actually atrocious bowling and he had figures on par and if not better than my affiliates actual bowlers.
I'd be suggesting this should be treated as a priority with stats like this, as my side that played the actual bowlers only won by 27 runs!

Tried something similar on a Hot/Even. Played senior teams against each other but one had 11 batsmen selected. The right team won, by 104 runs, although the average summary wristie got pretty similar figures to the Exceptional summary one on the other side!!wolfberries wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2024 12:46 pmwolfberries Wolfberries Too

I picked two proper teams but just bowled the batsmen instead.casperj wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2024 6:33 pm

T20 match in dry/sunny conditions. One team had a batsman bowl (poor bowling, average summary), the other bowlers were mainly World Class summary with 2 elites. Care to guess the rogue bowler (or should I say bat)?

Probably should have been hit harder. He did have 4 great fielding checks going for him and bowled his best over right after a wicket.
